What was your worst experience as a trainee?

It would have to be passing a sale file which I had just exchanged contracts on back to my boss, pleased with what I have achieved, only for her to pass it back to me to say that we had not yet exchanged on the purchase! Because of the relocation work we do we buy and then sell instead of the other way around, so I had managed to sell a house that our clients didn’t own! It was quickly resolved, thankfully.

If you weren’t a lawyer, what would you have been?

As a child I always wanted to be a stuntman or a professional rugby player.

Who's your hero and why?

I have many old rugby players as childhood heroes, Keith Wood, Scott Gibbs, the Underwood brothers to name a few. But outside of rugby Jeremy Clarkson is a hero of mine, not just because he has the best job in the world driving nice cars, but he has an admirable passion for common sense. It’s very refreshing in a world which is becoming increasingly idiotic and obsessed with health and safety.
