What was your first-ever job?

Unsurprisingly (for an equine law specialist) my first ever paid job was working as a Saturday hand in an eventing yard. Prior to that I had been paid in rides for stables duties at the local farm.

What was your worst ­experience as a trainee?

I once completed a certificate of title for a completion but put my bank sort code on the form instead of the office sort code (The last digit was the only difference between them). The money disappeared into a black hole and I had a very uncomfortable few hours whilst the bank located it.

What’s the best thing about your job?

The excitement in the voice of a client, who is also a first time buyer, when you tell them they now own their first home.

Then trainee, qualified 1st April 2004, Stayed with Relocation until
April 2005 and then went to private client/high street in 2006
2000 – 2001: Clarke Wilmot Clarke Bristol – Paralegal in Financial Litigation.
Pre law – worked for a member of Irish Olympic Eventing Team and supplemented with bar work.
