Trainee
recruitment
If you are looking for an opportunity to develop your potential
in an expanding law firm with a diverse client base and ten offices
throughout the region, then look no further.
What do we want?
You need to be intelligent and have the ability to communicate
with clients and colleagues alike. We are also looking for enthusiastic,
down to earth and dedicated people.
To apply for a training contract with us you will normally need either
a First Class or 2:1 degree. It does not need to be in law. We
also consider mature students who have a 2:2 degree and
appropriate
work experience.
Our graduate recruitment usually takes place more than a year before
a training contract starts, so you need to plan ahead. All our
training contracts follow Law Society guidelines. They run for
two years, which are split into four seats in a number
of departments.
What's in it for you?
-
hands-on experience in contentious and non-contentious areas
of the law
-
you'll
be an integral part of each department you work in and supervised
by a senior lawyer
-
at
the end of each seat, appraisal and feedback will help you assess
your progress
-
you'll
have the opportunity to work with a broad range of individual
and commercial clients
-
you'll
be involved in a variety of social, sporting and team activities.
Interested?
At this stage we are considering our needs for trainee solicitors in
2009 and 2010. We have decided to suspend our usual recruitment
timetable for 2008. We will next accept applications (in writing
with a full CV) between 1 May 2009 and 30 June 2009. Depending on
circumstances at that time, we will consider recruiting no more than
two trainees one of whom we might consider for an Autumn 2009
start. Unfortunately, we are unable to either keep or acknowledge
any applications received outside these dates, due to the numbers
received. If you are interested, please send applications by post,
within the dates shown above, to:
Georgina Peacock at 5a-7a Waterloo Street, Weston-super-Mare BS23
1LA.
