Robert qualified as a solicitor in 1979, having trained in London. he joined Peppersell Pitt & Aylett in Yatton in 1981 and became a partner in 1984. he continued in its successor practices until 2000, when he joined Tanner Vowles & Cheshire. He moved to TVC's Clevedon office in 2004.

Robert joined Wards in 2005, when TVC merged with Wards. He has broad-ranging experience, covering conveyancing, wills & probate and litigation services. 

He comments:  “I find it extremely rewarding to have so many clients who regard me as their "family solicitor". I’ve also greatly enjoyed being involved in the wider community in North Somerset”.
