Wards get industry 'long service' award - 10th October 2004
Three members of Wards personal injury team have been recognised by their leading professional association for their efforts over the years. The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) is an organisation of 5,000 lawyers and barristers in the UK who are dedicated to improving the service provided to victims of accidents and clinical negligence.
Senior solicitors, Janet Rimmer, Alison Underhill and Larry Rawlinson have all recently received a certificate from APIL "in recognition of their longstanding membership of the association". The Association only awards the certificate for 10 years’ plus service to the PI cause and there are very few other lawyers in the South West region with a similar level of experience. Team members are also all accredited Law Society Personal Injury Panel experts.
Janet Rimmer, Head of Wards’ Personal Injury team, says: “It’s easy for the public to get confused between the various middlemen and claims handling organisations that exist. Several have gone bust in the past year and reputations aren’t always what they should be. At Wards’ we pride ourselves on our professionalism and cost-effective service. Choosing a qualified solicitor over a middleman can pay dividends in the long run. These APIL certificates are a further recognition of the team’s expertise and hard work over the past 10 years.”
