Family lawyer appointed to specialist panel - 5th January 2007

Sylvie Penwill, a family lawyer at Wards’ Weston-super-Mare office has been appointed to The Law Society’s Family Law Panel. Only solicitors who meet the Law Society’s strict requirements are allowed to join the panel. They must specialise in family law, demonstrate in-depth legal knowledge, and be capable of dealing with clients in a skilful, considerate way.

Sylvie joined Wards in 2000 and qualified in 2003. She specialises in all aspects of relationship breakdown, including divorce, separation, children matters and financial resolution issues. She handles a large volume of domestic violence cases and private Children Act disputes.

She is originally from the Czech Republic and has lived in England since 1993. As such, she is able to help clients who speak Czech, Slovak and Polish. Sylvie is also the Child Protection Officer for the Weston-super-Mare Cricket Club and Wards have sponsored the youth section for a number of years. This year the firm sponsored cricket caps for the under 13 team.
