John
Brentnall John trained with Wards and qualified as a solicitor in 1973. He became a Partner in 1974 and has worked in the firm’s Weston-super-Mare office ever since, specialising in property matters. John deals with a range of property-related issues, including assembling and promoting sites for development, the purchase and disposal of properties and planning issues. For 10 years John acted for the consortium of house building companies and landowners responsible for the development of Bradley Stoke. He also has extensive knowledge of the developments at Emersons Green, Bristol and Locking Castle, Weston-super-Mare. Recent highlights include acting for the consortium of house builders, including Westbury, Bloor and Meadow Mead Homes to provide the framework for construction of the Common Infrastructure required for the development of 600 new homes at St Georges, Weston-super-Mare. He has also handled the negotiation of the underlease of Kwiksave, Brislington for Properjob Superstores Ltd, including finalising a new lease on additional space at their distribution centre in Weston-super-Mare. John says: “Although in the past 20 years or so I’ve specialised in property issues, I find it extremely rewarding to have so many clients who regard me as their "family solicitor". I’ve also greatly enjoyed being involved in the development of the business community in North Somerset”. John is actively involved in the commercial development of the North Somerset community and sits on the Boards of the Weston Town Centre Partnership, the North Somerset Enterprise Agency and Weston-super-Mare Regeneration Partnership.
